How to play

Ark: Survival Evolved is a survival action-adventure game with a first-person perspective, or switch to third-person perspective, in which players must survive through hunting, farming, research, and other means, in addition to building a base to protect themselves. The map of the game is called "The Ark" and covers an area of about 48 square kilometers, of which three-quarters is land and one-quarter is sea.

To build a base, the player must acquire basic components such as floors, doors, and windows, which are acquired gradually as the player progresses and collects levels. As long as the player has the resources, he or she can manufacture any component. When the pillars and foundations of a building are damaged, the structural integrity of the building is also compromised. Players can also craft props in the game, such as weapons, which can be achieved by collecting the resources and skills needed to craft them. In addition, players can craft add-ons and add them to weapons, such as adding a scope or flashlight to a pistol or machine gun. If the player consumes the necessary food after being injured, its life value will gradually recover.

There have been over 60 dinosaur species in the game and the dinosaurs in the game can be fed to tame them. Once the dinosaur is tamed, the player will be able to use the dinosaur's abilities such as flight or fast underwater movement, as well as its stats such as speed, health and damage, etc. When using these abilities, the player will not have control over their personal weapons. When the dinosaur being ridden is larger, other players can ride on the dinosaur and control their weapons. Dinosaurs can also be used to carry items, and players can give them orders to attack and defend, for example: a group of Utahraptors can be used to attack a base, and a group of Triceratops can be used to defend a base. The game also features a variety of other prehistoric species such as dodo birds, saber-toothed tigers, true mammoths, and giant insects such as giant veined dragonflies and giant ants. Every creature in the game lives in a certain ecosystem and predator structure.
